Retro
Owning the Assets that You Invest in
At earlier stage in Leaf Round (India’s First Asset Leasing Market Place) we had this flow where a user was able to select and buy individual assets and lease to the company for fixed tenure and there would be a buy back at the end
Some drawbacks of this flow :
Very few users were interested in the assets they owned; they were more concerned about other metrics return on investment (ROI), Tenure, Monthly Returns.
Moreover, the process was burdensome for business operations, as each asset required custom images that had to be manually resized and uploaded.
The performance of the system was also affected due to the large number of images and complex calculations involved in each investment.

The Love Hate Relationship
Keeping the Old Flow Alive With the New Flow
Our Old Asset Selection Flow had Almost been there for a Year and We Couldn’t Just Chuck it for The New one as there were a lot users Who had Gotten use to it and Owning the Individual Assets is also one of our USP compared to our Competitors
There was a small percentage of users who still preferred the old flow as they wanted more control over the assets they invested in
Handling a few edge cases and warning states
Basic Edge cases like min/max investment and showing a alter message for the TDS implication on an investment
